Using an instant messaging application is better than sending actual emails. That's because your message will arrive in less time to the required recipient. There are numerous IM services on the market, but a lot of them seem difficult to use and have a lot of limitations. Fortunately, there is an instant messaging service that manages to remain extremely simple to use, even though it has a large amount of features. The name of the service is BitWise. Basically, this is an IM client with a lot of features.

The program is compatible with almost any version of the Windows operating system and can be installed with little effort, requiring only a few clicks. The system resources required are less than the ones required by other IM programs.

BitWise needs a username and password in order to work. In case the user doesn't have an account, he can easily create one directly from the software's interface. After having done so, one will be presented with a simple and intuitive interface. Adding friends into the program can be done either by typing their nickname or by searching for users by entering specific information, like their city, country and so on. Friends can be added to various groups, making them easier to find.

Besides chatting with friends, the user can also send files to them. BitWise features a transfer windows, from where one can see all the past and present transfers. The software allows setting various statuses and moods and also appearing offline to other users.

BitWise includes a log window that shows all the performed actions of the program. This way, possible errors are very easy to track.

Pros

It features a simple interface that anyone can use. Moreover, friends can be easily added to the program by typing their nickname or by searching them using various criteria. Furthermore, the software features a transfer window that displays all the past and current file transfers.

Cons

The software needs an account, otherwise it will not work. Besides that, the interface seems a bit simple, as it doesn't support skins or themes. BitWise is a solid alternative to all the known instant messaging programs.
